CAM Assist login says “invalid username or password” after a successful install

On this page

Overview

If CAM Assist (for example, in Siemens NX) shows an error like “invalid username or password”, but you are sure your credentials are correct, the most common cause is that the email you are signing in with is not assigned to your CAM Assist license. This can look like a password/authentication problem even when the password is correct.

Step 1: Confirm you are signing in with the correct email

  • In CAM Assist, make sure you enter the same email address that your organization used when subscribing/activating CAM Assist.
  • If your organization uses multiple work emails, try the one tied to the CAM Assist subscription.

Step 2: Ask the billing contact to update the license email

The billing contact (the person who received invoices) typically has permission to change billing details in the CloudNC portal.

  1. Have the billing contact sign in to the CloudNC Billing Portal: https://cloudnc.chargebeeportal.com/portal/v2/login?forward=home
  2. Update the email address on file to the email you are using to sign into CAM Assist.
  3. After updating, sign out and sign back into CAM Assist with the updated email.

Step 3: Re-check installer/environment (only if email update doesn’t fix it)

  • If your organization uses GovCloud vs Standard, confirm you installed the matching build.
  • Try restarting the CAM host application and confirm the CAM Assist build/version.

What to include if you still can’t sign in

  • CAM Assist version
  • CAD/CAM host + version (for example, Siemens NX 2506)
  • The exact sign-in error text
  • Whether the billing contact updated the license email in the Billing Portal
